What is personal data?

What information do we collect about you and how?
Metadosi, as a data controller, is bound by the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Analytics – for example, how visitors use our website

We use Google Analytics to store information on how visitors use our website so that we can make improvements and provide visitors with a better user experience.

Google Analytics is a third-party information storage system that records information about the pages you visit, the length of time you are on specific pages and the website overall, how you arrived at the site and what you clicked on. IP addresses

An IP address or Internet Protocol is a unique numeric address assigned to a computer when it connects to the Internet. Metadosi does not have access to any personally identifiable information and we would never seek this information. Your IP address is logged when you visit our site, but our analytics software only uses this information to track the number of visitors from certain regions.

Internet-based advertising

We use the advertising services of Linkedin, Facebook, Google, and Twitter and as such, tracking codes are installed on our site so that we can manage the effectiveness of these campaigns. We do not store any personal data in this type of tracking.

How will we use the information about you and why?
At Metadosi, we take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information to provide the Services you have requested, detailed in your engagement letter and in the annexes and as we have indicated above. We will only use this information subject to your instructions, data protection law, and our duty of confidentiality.

For Business to Business clients and contacts, our legal reason for processing your personal information will be “legitimate interests”. Under “legitimate interests” we can process your personal information if: we have a legitimate reason and we are not harming any of your rights and interests.

For Business to Consumer Clients and Contacts, our legal reason for processing your personal information will be “A contract with the individual”, e.g., to provide the goods and services you have requested or to fulfill your obligations under an employment contract. This also includes measures taken at your request before entering into a contract.

We may receive personal data about you for the purposes of our money laundering checks, such as a copy of your passport. These data will only be processed for the purposes of preventing money laundering and financing terrorism, or otherwise permitted by law or with your explicit consent.

Our work for you may require us to pass your information to our third-party service providers, agents, subcontractors, and other associated organizations for the purpose of completing tasks and providing you with Services on our behalf. However, when we use third-party service providers, we disclose only the personal information necessary to deliver the Services and we have contracts in place that require them to keep your information secure and not to use it for direct marketing purposes.
